The South Dakota Department of Transportation Winter Road Condition Reports are based upon the information available at the time of preparation. They are provided solely as a public service. Actual conditions may vary from those reported. Motorists are cautioned to be alert to changing conditions.

            WILL BE ISSUED AT 4PM CDT ON TUESDAY, APRIL 15TH.

               SPECIAL BULLETINS MAY BE ISSUED IF ADVERSE
            WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS OCCUR AFTER THIS DATE.

           ROUTINE REPORT GENERATION FOR THE 2008-2009 WINTER
         DRIVING SEASON WILL RESUME APPROXIMATELY OCTOBER 15TH.

Report Information
The South Dakota Department of Transportation provides the Winter Road Condition Reports. These reports are produced seven days a week during the period beginning early November through late March.  After late March the Department will provide intermittent reports only when a major storm causes poor road conditions over a major part of the state.
