Update in Road Design Manual Chapter 16 - Miscellaneous
Page 16-1 - Rearranged ADA Guidelines and page numbers.
Page 16-2 & 3 - Changed title of Figure 16-11 & 16-12 to Combination Curb Ramp, separated Figure 16-17 into two figures and renumbered remaining figures.
Page 16-12 & 13 - Rearranged ADA Guideline topics Construction/Reconstruction Guidelines, Resurfacing Guidelines and RSI Guidelines and minor grammatical changes. Revised note from what guidelines are used and justification why to what guidelines are not met and justification for their decisions. Added note to Construction/Reconstruction the designer shall provide documentation on what guidelines are not met and justification for their decisions.
Page 16-15 - Added reference to MUTCD for required clearance of signs in sidewalks in the forth paragraph.
Under Minimum Clear Width expanded the verbiage for point locations.
Page 16-24 - Minor grammatical changes under CURB RAMPS. Revised the 2nd bullet to "consider" installing curb ramps at all quadrants if at least one quadrant of an intersection has sidewalk.
Under Placement removed the bullet for 48" x 48" maneuvering area.
Page 16-25 - Under Landings added note not requiring a landing for slopes less than 5% and there is no change in direction.
Page 16-26 - Figure 16-7 changed the Min. Landing from 5' to 4' and included 5' desirable.
Page 16-29 - Figures 16-11 and 16-12 changed the title to Combination Curb Ramp. In 2nd bullet for diagonal ramps revised "not recommended" to "least desirable".
Page 16-30 - Changed reference to Figure 16-14 to Figure 16-18 to Figure 16-14 to Figure 16-19.
Page 16-31 - Under note 3 added parallel curb ramp to note. Added new figure number and separated the figures to match note. Renumbered the remaining figures. Under note 5 added text "where adjacent obstacles limit sight distance".
Pages 16-32 to 16-50 - Renumbered figure numbers and all references in the text.
Page 16-42 - Minor grammatical change in 2nd paragraph revising "traffic sequencing letter" to "traffic sequencing notes".
Page 16-47 & 16-48 - Added information on the location of retaining walls in the last paragraph.
