Overview Piedmont Service Road (Old Highway 79) and Exit 52 Construction
2008
- Relocate high pressure natural gas lines.
- Installation of new lines complete. Switch from old lines to new lines in May
- Construction of box culvert under new interchange ramp.
- Scheduled to begin early April
- Construction of temporary westbound (northbound) on-ramp to facilitate construction of new structure over DM&E Railroad tracks north of existing RXR bridges.
- Begin construction of new interchange ramps, new Foothills Road, and temporary traffic control ramps.
- Complete reconstruction of the new Exit 52 Interchange and portions of I-90 at the new interchange.
- Tentatively scheduled to begin in April.
- Begin construction of new I-90 alignment between the new Exit 52 interchange and the DM&E Railroad and other work that does not affect current I-90 traffic.
- Reconstruct SD79 through Black Hawk.
- Tentatively scheduled to begin in April.

- Business access will be maintained at all times throughout the course of the work.
- Complete extension of Peaceful Pines Road between SD79 and Mill Road east of I-90.
- Tentatively scheduled to begin in April.
This schedule is tentative based on information provided by the Contractor. A more complete schedule will be provided when that information is available.
2009
- Complete grading and resurfacing of I-90 between new Exit 52 Interchange and Mid-State Campers.
- Complete reconstruction of SD79 between Black Hawk and Diamond T Road/Kimberly Drive.
