Access Ramps on I-90 at Exit 37 Temporarily Close
RAPID CITY – Beginning Wednesday, June 18, 2008, the westbound access ramps at Pleasant Valley, Exit 37 will be temporarily closed.
The following detours will be in effect for Exit 37. Westbound off ramp traffic will be detoured to Exit 34 off ramp and routed back to Exit 37 in the eastbound lane. Westbound on ramp traffic will be directed to take the Exit 37 eastbound on ramp to the Exit 40 westbound on ramp.
On Tuesday, June 24, the access ramps at Exit 37 are scheduled to reopen.

The Department of Transportation awarded the Interstate 90 project to Stanley J. Johnsen Concrete Contractor, Inc. of Rapid City. The one year project will begin construction on February 25, 2008 and is scheduled for completion on November 3, 2008. The eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 90 will be graded and a portion realigned to provide greater median separation. Structure work on the project will include the extension of the multiplate structure over the DM&E Railroad and reinforced box culvert extensions. An interim completion of July 25, 2008 is set for the completion of the work in the westbound lanes.
The total amount for the contact is $11.6 million.
