For I-29/I-229 and I-90/I-229 Interchange Improvements

An open house style public meeting has been scheduled for July 17, 2008. The meeting will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. A short presentation will be given at 6:15 p.m.

The SDDOT is currently looking at safety, capacity and access alternatives for the areas surrounding the interchanges listed above. The focus of the work encompasses needs in the area, engineering feasibility, cost and environmental impacts. As the study progressed, land development announcements in the vicinity of the I-29/I-229 interchange have compelled the Department to separate that interchange from this study and look at the entire I-29 corridor independently. Information on the work done as part of the I-29 Corridor Study since January 1, 2008, can be accessed at http://www.sddot.com/pe/projdev/planning_ss_I29.asp. Information on what was done prior to January 1, 2008, can be found below.
