The SDDOT is currently looking at safety, capacity and access alternatives for the areas surrounding the interchanges listed above. The focus of the work encompasses needs in the area, engineering feasibility, cost and environmental impacts. As the study progressed, land development announcements in the vicinity of the I-29/I-229 interchange have compelled the Department to separate that interchange from this study and look at the entire I-29 corridor independently.
