Highway Ditch Closure In Lincoln County
 

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Transportation Commission has approved closure of a highway ditch near Lennox to off-road vehicles.

The segment being closed is on the south side of South Dakota Highway 44, west of Lennox. The closure location is from mile marker 407.3 to mile marker 411.6, or a distance of four-point-three miles.

Signs are being placed in the ditches notifying off-road vehicle users of the closing.

The ditch closure was initiated by a local request and has the concurrence of the Department of Transportation.

Ditch closures do not apply to snowmobiles, off-road vehicles used in normal agricultural operations, or utility company service vehicles used in the line of duty.
