Federal Building Work in Pierre to Affect Traffic 

PIERRE, S.D. – Work on the federal building canopy located along U.S. Highway 83/Euclid Avenue in Pierre will begin next Tuesday (Aug. 21).

The Pierre Street parking lane next to the federal building will be closed through the end of September.

Motorists can also expect intermittent lane closures on Sioux Ave./Highways 34 /  14 / 83 south of the federal building.

Pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks around the federal building will be maintained through the construction period.

Motorists are asked to watch for lane closures and suddenly slowing and merging traffic.

Pedestrians are encouraged to use the crosswalk at the stop light to cross the street and be careful of equipment and workers outside the federal building.
