Sidewalk Splash Barrier to be Installed in Belle Fourche

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin construction of a sidewalk splash barrier on a portion of Highway 85 in Belle Fourche on Tuesday (Sept. 4).

The sidewalk splash barrier will be installed along Highway 85 between State Street and Faulk Street in Belle Fourche.

Motorists can expect lane closures through the construction area and are reminded stay alert for workers, equipment, lane shifts and suddenly slowing traffic.

The completion date for the $153,000 project is Nov. 3.  Ainsworth Benning Construction, Inc. of Spearfish is the prime contractor.
