Governor Appoints Aeronautics Commissioner
PIERRE, S.D. – State Transportation Secretary Darin Bergquist announced today that Chad Hatch of Sioux Falls has been appointed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard to a three-year term on the South Dakota Aeronautics Commission, effective Oct. 31.
Hatch is a University of South Dakota graduate, a veteran of the United States Army, a local businessman and pilot.
“Chad’s education and experience as a pilot and businessman will be great assets to the Aeronautics Commission,” Secretary Bergquist said.
Hatch will succeed Larry Vetterman of Hot Springs, who has served for 13 years on the commission.
Gov. Daugaard also reappointed Eric Odenbach of Eureka to the commission.
Other commission members include: Larry Nelson of Rapid City, Vernon “Skip” VanDerhule of Yankton, Richard Pearson of Brandon, Travis Lantis of Spearfish, and Chris Funk of Madison.
