Highway 44 Bridge Work Near Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will perform bridge work on U.S. Highway 44 beginning Monday, March 4, 2013.  The bridge is located east of Farmingdale at mile marker 75.

The work involves a bridge deck chip seal and expansion device replacement. 

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane on the bridge with a 12 ft. width restriction.

The overall completion date for this project is July 26, 2013.  The prime contractor is Heavy Constructors, Inc. of Rapid City.
