Crack Sealing Projects in the Sioux Falls Area

 

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation advises motorists that crack seal applications will be applied to several highways in the Sioux Falls area beginning Monday, June 3. 

 

The contractor will move from one project to the next in the following order:

 

  1. U.S. Highway 81, 13 miles, from Highway 34 in Madison north 13 miles. Approximate time to complete this section of highway is three days.

  2. S.D. Highway 11, 11.7 miles, from Corson north to the Minnesota state line. Approximate time to complete this section of highway is nine days.

 

Traffic will be reduced to one lane and guided through the projects by flaggers and a pilot car.  A delay of up to 15 minutes can be expected while traveling through the work area during the daytime hours.

 

The prime contractor on this $146,440 contract is Highway Improvement, Inc. from Sioux Falls.
