Deadwood Creek Bank Stabilization

LEAD, S.D. – Traffic on Highway 14A between Lead and Central City will be reduced to one lane each direction beginning Monday, June 24 so crews can conduct creek bank stabilization work on Deadwood Creek, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

The only lane anticipated to be affected is the southbound climbing lane into Lead with the closure of that lane taking place during daylight hours and reopened overnight.

Motorists can expect minimal delays.

The prime contractor on the $34,000 project is CAI Construction of Lead and work is expected to be complete in early July.

For more information, contact Bryan Parks with the Department of Transportation at 605-394-2248.
