Work on I-90 and Cliff Avenue Interchange in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Beginning Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m., T&R Contracting will be closing the Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange in Sioux Falls until 6 a.m. the next morning, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

The evening closures will continue every night at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning until all bridge girders have been set over Cliff Avenue. Work is expected to be complete by Saturday morning, Aug. 24, at 6 a.m.

The closure is needed so the contractor can set girders for the I-90 eastbound structure over Cliff Avenue.

The interchange ramps will remain open to traffic, but Cliff Avenue will be closed to thru traffic at the I-90 overpass bridge.

The work is part of the $17.4 million Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange project. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls; the interim completion date is Nov. 8.

Complete road construction information is available at www.safetravelusa.com/sd or by dialing 511.
