Temporary Closure On I-90 Westbound In Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m. CDT, T&R Contracting will be closing the I-229 southbound exit ramp on westbound I-90 in Sioux Falls to remove and install sign bridges near the I-229 interchange.
At 11 p.m. and 3 a.m., T&R Contracting, in coordination with the South Dakota Highway Patrol, will stop and hold traffic on the westbound lanes of I-90 at the I-229 interchange for approximately 15 minutes while crews work in the driving lanes.
The I-229 southbound ramp is expected to be open by 6 a.m. the following morning.
The work is part of the $17.4 million Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange project. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls; the interim completion date is Nov. 8.
