I-90 and Cliff Avenue Interchange In Sioux Falls Opening To Traffic

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the City of Sioux Falls, announces that all lanes of Cliff Avenue and Interstate 90 will open to traffic on Friday, Nov. 8.

The opening of all lanes of traffic meets the contract interim completion date for the $17.4 million project.

Work on this project began in April of this year and included reconstruction of Cliff Avenue from 60th St. North to East Dike Place, installation of two new bridges that were reconfigured to a single-point urban interchange, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, storm sewer, water main, roadway lighting, traffic signals, permanent signing and pavement markings.

Miscellaneous work will continue with the use of intermittent lane closures.  Motorists should stay alert for workers, equipment, lane closures and sudden slowing and merging traffic.

The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls.
