SPEARFISH, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in cooperation with the City of Spearfish and Heavy Constructors, will hold an open house style public meeting for the Interstate 90 Exit 14 interchange reconstruction project at the City of Spearfish Commission Chambers located at 625 5th Street on Thursday, March 16, from 5 to 6 p.m.

Businesses and landowners directly adjacent to the project are encouraged to stay after the meeting to discuss any concerns they may have with project personnel.

The $28 million project is reconstructing the interchange at I-90 Exit 14. Work began in 2016 and is now continuing into the second year. Work continued through the winter when weather permitted.

Currently, the contractor is working to remove the old bridge during nighttime closures of I-90 and is scheduled to finish up the nighttime portion of the work the week of March 13. Work is scheduled to resume on 27th Street the week of March 20 to reconstruct the lanes north of the bridge.

The public meeting will be informal with a short presentation and staff available to discuss issues and answer your questions regarding the reconstruction project. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to present written comments.
