Hall of Honor Banquet for Clyde Jundt of Pierre

PIERRE, S.D. – Clyde Jundt from Pierre is being inducted into the South Dakota Transportation Hall of Honor.


A banquet, hosted by the Transportation Hall of Honor Committee, will be held in Clyde’s honor on Friday, Oct. 6, at The View in Pierre beginning at 5:30 p.m. CDT.


Anyone wishing to attend must RSVP to Patricia Saukel at 773-3265 prior to Monday, Oct. 2.


Cost of the meal is $25 and will be collected at the event.


Clyde Jundt is a former South Dakota Department of Transportation employee who retired in 1994 as chief bridge engineer after 37 years with the department. Clyde is well-known for being one of the principal designers of the famous Keystone Wye and “pigtail” bridges on U.S. Highway 16/16A in the Black Hills.
