SISSETON, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says a project to work on Highway 10 in Sisseton will begin on Wednesday, May 15, depending on weather.

The first phase of work will be between Veteran’s Avenue and 8th Avenue East.

Traffic will be placed in a two-way configuration in the eastbound lanes with a reduced speed limit to 25 mph and a 10-foot width restriction.

Work on the project includes constructing two roundabouts, urban reconstruction and city utility work.

The prime contractor on this $7 million project is BX Civil & Construction of Dell Rapids, and the project is scheduled to be complete by late October.
