SIOUX FALLS, SD – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will place traffic into a two-way condition on eastbound Interstate 90 near exit 402 on Wednesday, July 31.

The contractor will be setting the girders over the westbound lanes to allow for continual construction on the new Interstate 90 and Veteran’s Parkway Interchange.

Traffic is anticipated to be restored back to their respective lanes Friday, Aug. 2. The eastbound on and off ramps at exit 402 remain closed and the westbound on-ramp remains open to allow for business access only. Both east and west bound traffic wanting to go north on County Road 121 will be directed to use Highway 115, County Road 130 and Highway 11.

The interchange is scheduled to be open to traffic by the substantial completion date of Oct. 18, 2019, along with an overall completion date of Aug. 28, 2020.

The prime contractor on this $55.6 million project is Riley Brothers Construction of Morris, Minnesota.
