I-29 Corridor: Exit 73 (Tea Exit) to Exit 77 (41st Street Exit)

Reason for Study:

As an expansion of the I-29/I-229 interchange corridor preservation study, the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) has retained URS Corporation to perform a corridor study of I-29 from the Tea Exit to the 41st Street Exit to determine the future needs of the corridor in reaction to recent land development announcements for the area served by the corridor. Information regarding work previously done by the I-29/I-229 interchange corridor preservation study can be found at http://www.sddot.com/interchange/interchange.asp Public Meetings

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) has a long history of public involvement in the development of transportation plans and projects. The 2005 passage of the Safe, Accountable, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) requires a public involvement process. In accordance with the Department's draft public participation document, the I-29 Corridor Study strives to keep the public involved with the study as much as possible. Public meetings for the study will occasionally be scheduled to collect public input, provide information and answer questions
